Tomball ISD and their program manager — Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.—celebrated the opening of the district’s new aquatic center Feb. 12, part of the district’s $275 million bond referendum approved in November 2017.

The 26,000-square-foot aquatic center, located at Tomball Memorial High School, will be used as a practice and training facility for TISD students to improve their swimming, diving and water polo ability, a LAN news release stated.

“We are very proud of this state-of-the-art facility and the opportunities that it will provide for our students,” Steven Gutierrez, TISD’s chief operating officer said. “We thank our community for supporting the growth of the district with this facility and all of our business partners for making our vision become a reality.”
