Tomball ISD officials celebrated the groundbreaking of its new district complex at Cypress Rosehill Road and the Grand Parkway on May 29. The complex will feature an elementary school and a junior high school as well as a district athletic stadium with an attached community center, according to a May 29 news release from TISD.

“Today is a monumental day in Tomball ISD,” Superintendent Martha Salazar-Zamora said in the release. “It is a day of celebration, a day of thanks and a day to bring our close-knit community together once again to prove we are that destination district.”

The projects are funded by a $275 million bond referendum approved by voters in November 2017. The new schools will relieve growing enrollment numbers at Wildwood Elementary School and Willow Wood Junior High School, located in the Northpointe area, Community Impact Newspaper previously reported.

LAN acts as program manager for TISD’s bond projects, while Gilbane acts as construction manager at risk, and PBK provides architectural services for the district complex on Cypress Rosehill Road, Community Impact Newspaper previously reported.
