Firm Hires R. Gregg Moon, AIA, ACHA, EDAC, to Lead Effort

Planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) is expanding its healthcare services in Texas.

Over the last 10 years, LAN has primarily provided Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering services to healthcare clients in Texas. With this expansion, LAN will offer a wide range of additional services to new and current healthcare clients, including master planning and design, health facility programming, production and contract administration, and project management. The firm also will leverage the expertise of its parent company LEO A DALY, an international architecture/engineering firm, to provide architectural services to clients.

To lead this effort, the firm hired R. Gregg Moon, a national healthcare expert. Moon has more than 30 years of experience as a planner and project manager in healthcare design and architecture. He has planned and developed acute care and specialty departments for hospitals throughout Texas, including University Health System, San Antonio, University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Cook Children’s Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, and the University of Texas Medical Center, Galveston.

Moon received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Louisiana State University. He also has held several leadership positions with prestigious professional organizations that provide expertise and guidelines for the design and planning of healthcare environments, including the American Institute of Architects, American College of Healthcare Architects, and the Facility Guidelines Institute – Health Guidelines Revision Committee.
