Greg Li Joins LAN’s Stormwater Group as Project Manager

Greg Li, P.E., joins planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as a project manager of its stormwater group. In this role, he will be responsible for managing and implementing drainage solutions for infrastructure projects throughout Houston.
Li has more than 20 years of experience as a civil engineer in both public and private sectors. His expertise includes project management, hydraulic and hydrologic analyses, land development and roadway construction and structural design. Previously, he served as a drainage and principal engineer for various consulting engineering firms. Prior to that, he served the City of Houston as a project manager where he was responsible for more than 30 million dollars of capital improvement projects.
During his career, he has served clients such as the Harris County Flood Control District, Texas Department of Transportation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Some of the notable projects he has worked on include providing drainage for 30 miles along US Highway 83, and hydraulic and hydrologic modeling for projects in Harris County after Tropical Storm Allison.
Li holds a doctorate in civil & environmental engineering from the University of Houston. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tianjin University, China, in civil engineering and ocean engineering, respectively. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas and is certified as a project management professional.
