The final phase of Exploration Green Conservancy is underway. LAN is overseeing the planning and construction of Exploration Green, a project that is converting a former golf course into five detention ponds to improve stormwater management and provide recreational benefits to the community.
Once complete, Exploration Green will serve as a stormwater detention facility with the capacity to hold half a billion gallons of water. It will ultimately provide resiliency and protection against flooding for over 2,000 Clear Lake homes. The facility will also serve as a recreational park for the Clear Lake community and include 6 miles of trails, athletic fields and wildlife habitat islands.
We look forward to celebrating the completion of the project with Clear Lake City Water Authority in early 2023.
