Travis Owens, PE, joins LAN as Project Manager for Transportation Group

Travis Owens, PE, joined Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as Central and South Texas Transportation Leader for the Transportation group.

Most recently, Owens was a Central Design Team Supervisor in the TXDOT San Antonio District where he developed PS&E as a project manager. This included coordinating all utility investigations and relocations, overseeing, and reviewing all design disciplines, developing engineering cost estimates, and allocating personnel and resources while maintaining project schedules. His experience in the San Antonio District also includes design lead and project manager duties where he was responsible for major multi-million-dollar transportation projects.

Markus Neubauer, PE, Senior Associate with LAN says, “Travis Owens joins LAN with more than 11 years of experience in TxDOT construction, advanced planning, and PS&E design. His background also includes leadership, project management, consultant management, 3D modeling, and an emphasis on quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC). As Central and South Texas Transportation Leader, Owens will be instrumental in building relationships, developing the LAN transportation design team, and focusing on operational and procedural improvements to the transportation group’s overall structure.”

Owens is a licensed professional engineer with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and master’s degree in transportation engineering, from the University of Texas Austin.
