In 1973, Geogram Corporation, a small surveying company in Houston, was acquired. Geogram Corporation was sold in 1997. LAN also acquired Settles Engineering Co. in Brownsville in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. The operation was sold in 1984.
That same year, LAN purchased Fowler & Grafe, Inc., a well-known consulting firm in Dallas. In 1976, Fowler & Grafe, Inc. integrated into the LAN organization and became the Dallas office of Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.
