TFMA Honors Thomas Mountz for Long Service (Source: Civil + Structural Engineer)

On Aug. 26, the Texas Floodplain Management Association (TFMA) honored Thomas Mountz, P.E., D.WRE., CFM, for his long service to the association and his contributions to the water resources industry.
Mountz, who currently works as a senior project manager at planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN), has served TFMA for 20 years. During this time, he served two terms as TFMA’s regional director for Region 5 (Central Texas), and as treasurer on the executive board. He is a long-time member of the association’s stormwater and training committees. His contributions include teaching numerous courses and workshops to educate public and private employees on floodplain management risks and the need for planning for flooding.
