Steve Gilbreath Takes the Helm as LAN’s New President

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnan, Inc. (LAN), a leading planning, engineering and program management firm, announces the appointment of Steve Gilbreath, P.E., as its new president. Effective March 1, Gilbreath will succeed Wayne Swafford, who has been named chief development officer for LAN and LEO A DALY.
Gilbreath joined LAN in 2000 as a project manager overseeing coastal, port and marine projects. With more than 30 years of experience in coastal and port planning, engineering design, construction and program management, Gilbreath has established himself as a leader in the industry.
As LAN’s current chief operations officer, Gilbreath has been pivotal in building one of the firm’s most successful business lines. The Infrastructure Group encompasses program management, engineering, planning, design and construction-related services for water and sanitary sewer pipelines, water and wastewater facilities, drainage and stormwater management, municipal infrastructure and port and marine projects.

With a master of science in ocean engineering and a bachelor of science in Maritime Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University., He serves on the Board of Directors for the the American Council of Engineering Companies Houston Chapter. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association and actively participates as a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA).
