Snook ISD – Bond Program Management
Snook Texas
LAN performed pre-bond services and was the program manager for Snook ISD’s $9.7 million bond program. The program ultimately unified the District’s facilities under one roof, brought all facilities to current accessibility standards, and replaced campus elements that had exceeded their service life. In total, 54,000 SF of space was added to the campus during a two year construction period.
LAN began serving the District by completing facility assessment and master planning services as well as identifying immediate, short-, and long-term facility needs based on existing conditions, area demographics, and educational objectives of the community. Working with Snook ISD and a community advisory committee, LAN assisted in the preparation of a capital improvements bond proposal, which was successfully passed by voters.
With the assistance of LAN, an aggressive project schedule was maintained while several additional improvements were incorporated in the program with savings and with no delay in substantial completion. These projects included replacement of an existing gymnasium brick veneer to match new construction, renovation of middle school corridors, expansion of parking and maintenance areas, and re-keying of all existing facilities. LAN used our expertise to procure and manage furniture installation for the project. We provided leadership to coordinate facility relocation and planning for the phased construction project. LAN provided value to Snook ISD by coordinating the work of asbestos abatement consultants and contractors.
