Phase 1B Pipeline – Alliance Regional Water Authority

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. (LAN) was selected by the Alliance Regional Water Authority (Alliance Water), as a pipeline engineering consultant for a major water project serving several Texas communities in the I-35 corridor.
Since 2007, Alliance Water, formerly the Hays Caldwell Public Utility Agency, has worked in partnership with several cities (Buda, Kyle and San Marcos) and the Canyon Regional Water Authority, which supplies water to portions of Central and South Texas, on a long-term water project to meet future growth in the areas.
This project, the Phase 1B Program, will pump water from the Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer in Caldwell County, and includes design and construction of a new treatment plant, well field, raw waterlines, 95 miles of 24- to 48-inch-diameter treated water pipelines, an operations and maintenance facility, and connection points to all the stakeholders.
