North LBJ Improvement Project – City of San Marcos

San Marcos Texas

The City of San Marcos engaged LAN to provide acquisition services for the reconstruction of North LBJ from Sessoms Drive to Holland Street. The project expanded Noth LBJ to a two-lane street, with turn lanes at intersections, sidewalks, and bike lanes in order to improve safety and mobility for a densely populated area just north of the Texas State University campus in San Marcos. The properties along the roadway were fully developed and limited space was available for right-of-way takings. The improvements fully utilized the existing right-of-way and necessitated the acquisition of temporary easements for the construction of retaining walls, drainage inlets, and sidewalks. LAN provided real property acquisition services of four parcels and 43 temporary construction easements.
