Energy Audit – Fort Bend County

Fort Bend County Texas

LAN performed professional energy audit, analysis, and corrective action recommendation services for 40 County-owned facilities, which included detention facilities, courtrooms, administrative spaces, community centers, and libraries. In total, more than 1 million SF of building space was examined and documented, and the final audit resulted in energy conservation recommendations realizing substantial ECM utility savings up to 50%. The project was designed to help the County in its decision-making process as it moves forward in upgrading energy systems and facilities across the County.

In accordance with ASHRAE standards, LAN conducted an analysis of utility bills for each facility prior to an on-site survey. This review determined the method of billings and rates, annual consumption and cost, utility rates, and potential billing errors for each utility type for the most recent 12-month period. Following this analysis, field auditors performed on-site audits of each facility to determine energy savings potentials and energy-saving measures necessary to achieve such savings potential.
