LAN assessed the condition of nine various building types totaling 285,000 square feet as a proof test for adoption of a new facility management program to be utilized District-wide, based on the success of the process and the verity of the information collected. Facility types assessed included academic classrooms, administrative offices, health and physical education spaces, an instructional media center, a student center, and maintenance support facilities. Systems assessed included civil drainage, structural integrity, building envelope, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, ADA accessibility, and interior finishes. The assessment developed a facility condition index for each building and a capital sustainment plan, including annual maintenance costs.
