Energy Engineering Analysis – Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA)

Various Locations Nationwide

LAN performed energy and water conservation studies on 54 Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) commissaries at military bases around the U.S. The purpose of these studies was to perform a site survey of commissary buildings, identify all energy conservation opportunities that existed, and evaluate them for technical and economic feasibility. Typical items identified included fluorescent lighting upgrades, incandescent lighting retrofits, installation of occupancy sensors for lighting control, refrigeration system upgrades, and installation of programmable thermostats and other HVAC system controls. LAN also provided various maintenance and operational recommendations to reduce energy consumption, water consumption, and operating cost.
