Edinger Pump Station – Orange County Sanitation District

Huntington Beach California

Edinger Pump Station was constructed in 1965 and serves approximately 1,500 acres with current capacity of 3.5-MGD and future required capacity of 7.0-MGD. LAN prepared a planning study to determine feasible options for the pump station, including rehabilitation, reconstruction, or abandonment. The planning study included condition assessment of hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, and structural aspects of the project and will develop alternatives along with the final recommendation.

An alternatives matrix was developed to determine the best available option. The existing electrical and mechanical equipment is out of date and is not code compliant. Access to the dry well and wet well is difficult, and lane closures will be required to access to the pumps and equipment.
