CIBA Vision BTI Building Laboratories

Duluth Georgia

Architectural and engineering services were provided to renovate and repair six laboratory modules within the BTI Building Complex on the CIBA campus. Lab modules were modified to accept newly purchased laboratory equipment and existing equipment from other lab modules. This 7,500 SF project required a multi-phased construction approach to address the various laboratory module modifications and included varied equipment, such as fume hoods, cooling and heating units, analyzers, incubators, spectrometers, hydrogen generators, and gas chromatographs. Modifications to the existing laboratory module layouts were studied to minimize the renovation work and optimize the functional layouts within each module.
