Center Point Wastewater Line ROW Services – Kerr County

Kerrville Texas

As part of an initiative to improve water quality in the Guadalupe River, the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approved $31.5M in financial aid to Kerr County for the acquisition of property and construction of improvements to its wastewater system. Portions of the county are presently served only by on-site septic systems, many of which do not meet TCEQ standards. The planned 33-mile wastewater pipeline collection system will have 513 connections, and the overall project is estimated to cost more than $44M once complete.

LAN provided turn-key ROW services for the acquisition of land and/or easements on 58 parcels, including project management, negotiations services, community meetings, title curative services, appraisal services, appraisal review, market evaluation study, and closing services. Our services also included coordination to provide the necessary offer/easement paperwork to TWDB and meetings with Kerr County Commissioners.

Through extensive negotiation with landowners, LAN assisted the County in acquiring a majority of the required easements by donation, eliminating the need for condemnation.
