Arrowhead Ranch Water Reclamation Facility – City of Glendale Arizona

Glendale Arizona

The City of Glendale expanded the Arrowhead Ranch Water Reclamation Facility (ARWRF) with four additional wells to recharge reclaimed water supplies. This project scope included planning, design, installation, and performance testing for a second phase at the existing facility. In addition to design and construction of additional recharge wells, the project consisted of associated facilities including evaluation of filtration systems, design of delivery and well manifold pipelines, modification of an existing booster station facility, and integration of system operation and monitoring into the City’s existing water reclamation facility SCADA.

Project delivery was shifted to Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) at 60% design. LAN provided the design, installation, performance testing, and construction management for four of the additional recharge wells, including 800 LF of 20-inch delivery pipeline and booster pump station modifications. Utilizing the CMAR delivery method, this expansion adds recharge capacity of 3- to 5-MGD to the existing recharge facility.
