LAN utilized advanced 3D modeling tools to design and present improvements for TxDOT ferry facilities. Using SketchUp, LAN created detailed models of transfer spans for Galveston Slip #1 and Bolivar Slips #4 and #6, as well as conceptual designs for fourth ferry landings at both terminals. These models enabled TxDOT stakeholders to visualize proposed solutions and reach consensus on critical upgrades. The designs will improve operational efficiency and capacity, supporting the long-term needs of these essential transportation links.
