Michael has more than 30 years of engineering experience with water infrastructure and facility projects throughout Michigan. He was previously General Manager of the Saginaw-Midland Municipal Water Supply Corporation in Bay City, Michigan. He was responsible for operating and maintaining the entire 120 MGD water supply system, which included two deep water intakes, three pumping facilities and 104 miles of water transmission mains. In this role, Michael led and implemented engineering projects in the areas of pumps, motors, hydraulics, electrical power, and computerized process control. He coordinated and developed operational and maintenance manual modifications and worked with engineering consultants on the design, financing, and bidding of various projects.
