Markus Neubauer, PE, Promoted to Vice President at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.

Planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) announces the promotion of Markus Neubauer, PE, to vice president.

Neubauer brings over 15 years of experience in transportation design and project management, having served clients including the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) and North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA). His expertise spans a wide range of projects, from rural roadway widenings to complex urban freeway reconstructions.

Since joining LAN in 2023 as a senior associate, Neubauer has been instrumental in advancing the firm’s strategic initiatives and enhancing its presence within the transportation market. He has also played a key role in recruiting top talent, leveraging his strong industry reputation to build a high-performing transportation team.

Neubauer played a pivotal role in establishing the San Antonio section of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), helping to position LAN employees in leadership roles, including Travis Owens as the section’s future president. His efforts have strengthened LAN’s presence in the San Antonio region.

Neubauer holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Southern Methodist University and is a licensed professional engineer in Texas.
