LAN Named as Top Austin-Area Engineering Firm
The Austin Business Journal has named Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam (LAN) to its list of top engineering firms in the Austin area. Of the firms chosen, LAN ranked number 30, moving up 9 spots from the previous year.
Travis Michel, PE, LAN’s Team Leader located in the Austin office said, “We’ve expanded our footprint in the Austin area with projects in the infrastructure and transportation market sectors. As the Austin market continues to be a hot market for growth and investment, LAN’s focus on transportation, transit, drainage and utilities will further support our expansion and presence in Central Texas.”
The firms were ranked based on engineering billings for each Austin-area office, which includes offices in Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop and Caldwell counties. Austin Business Journal explains the importance of its ranking by affirming that “engineering services affect all aspects of community development from land and infrastructure to designing next-generation facilities.” Of the firms ranked, clients do not have to be in the Austin area, and the billings include projects in all stages.
