Profile
Ms. Shipley is a team leader for LAN’s District Engineering Group focusing on utility, transportation, and civil projects. She has more than 15 years of diverse engineering experience with streets and sidewalks, utility rehabilitation, hike and bike trails, water and wastewater facilities, and drainage improvements. Her background also includes civil site design for the Menil Campus in Houston’s Museum District to enhance connectivity throughout the campus and accessibility to local streets.
She is managing the nationally recognized Exploration Green project that converted a former golf course into five detention ponds to improve stormwater management and provide recreational benefits to the community. With more than 5 miles of hike and bike trails and additional amenities throughout the facility, Exploration Green provides a public recreation space in addition to flood reduction.
In addition, Kelly manages a multi-year Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) Initiative program for the Clear Lake City Water Authority which includes more than 1.1 million LF of 6- to 60-inch sanitary sewer. She is certified through the National Association of Sewer Service Companies’ (NASSCO) Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP).
