Dennis Turner Joins Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. as Construction Manager

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) has hired Dennis Turner as construction manager joining the program management group. In this role, Turner will ensure that contractors’ work aligns with project requirements, oversee inspections, prepare reports and support project closeouts.

Turner brings over 40 years of construction industry experience, having successfully managed and delivered complex projects in educational, medical, commercial, retail and hospitality facilities. His expertise spans demolition, modernization, ground-up construction and specialized spaces such as labs and athletic facilities. His knowledge of regulatory compliance includes adherence to ADA, DSA and OSHPD standards.

Before joining LAN, Turner served as a senior superintendent at Pogue Construction, where he led the construction of educational facilities, including new middle school and high school additions. He also managed bond-funded construction projects at Long Beach City College, which included the development of an aquatic center and ADA upgrades. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles overseeing multimillion-dollar projects for medical and municipal clients, ensuring their successful completion ahead of schedule and within budget.

Turner holds certifications in safety and project management and has a proven ability to coordinate between contractors, design teams and inspection services to deliver high-quality outcomes.
