Profile

Over the course of his 40+ year career with pipe manufacturers and consultants, Bob has designed more than 2,000 individual pipeline projects using a variety of pipe materials up to 197 inches in diameter. He has been responsible for designing all sizes of pipe and pipelines, product research and development, cost analysis, coordination of engineering efforts between private and governmental agencies, and administration of design departments.

Bob is a design expert with many pipe materials, including concrete pressure, steel, reinforced concrete, stainless steel, ductile iron, fiberglass reinforced plastic and high-density polyethylene. He is active in various professional associations, writing standards and specifications for AWWA, ASCE and ASTM.

In 2015, he received the ASCE’s Stephen D. Bechtel Pipeline Engineering Award, which recognizes outstanding achievements by a member of ASCE who has advanced the art, science and technology of pipeline engineering.
