Laura Casset, PE, CFM, CPESC, Appointed Vice President at LAN, Inc.
Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) has appointed Laura Casset, PE, CFM, CPESC, as a vice president. Based in the firm’s Austin office, Casset serves as practice leader for LAN’s stormwater team, overseeing projects focused on stormwater management, flood mitigation and drainage infrastructure for public sector clients across Central Texas.
Casset has more than 23 years of experience in civil engineering specializing in surface water hydrology and hydraulics, channel analysis and design and flood risk reduction. Her work includes complex drainage infrastructure projects, FEMA studies and map revisions and natural channel design solutions that help communities manage flood risk while protecting surrounding environments.
Casset recently served as hydraulic engineer and design lead for the Lebow Channel and NE 28th Street Natural Stream Reconstruction project in Fort Worth, which received the ACEC Texas Engineering Excellence Award Silver Medal in the Water Resources category and was previously recognized with an ENR Texas & Louisiana Best Projects Award of Merit.

Casset earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a licensed professional engineer in Texas, a certified floodplain manager and a certified professional in erosion and sediment control.
