LAN, Inc. Adds Cecil May, PE, to Strengthen Central Texas Construction Management Services

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc (LAN) announces that Cecil May, PE, has joined the firm’s Austin office as a senior construction manager, expanding the firm’s construction engineering and inspection (CE&I) capabilities across Central Texas.

In his new role, May will provide full-time, on-site inspection and construction management services for water and wastewater infrastructure, transportation and transit improvements, facility upgrades and expansions and utility coordination, including subsurface utility engineering. His focus will be supporting local cities, counties and transit agencies such as Austin, Kyle, Buda, Hays County, Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (CapMetro) and other municipalities in Central Texas. May will also collaborate closely with LAN’s multidisciplinary teams across Texas to provide responsive, on-the-ground support for planning, design and construction projects.

May is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas with over 15 years of experience in construction engineering and management. His diverse background includes roles as a construction manager, owner's representative, project manager, designer, design manager and field engineer. Throughout his career, May has led local infrastructure improvements and large-scale, complex programs valued up to $3 billion with a strong focus on safety, quality and schedule.

“Cecil’s addition directly strengthens our ability to partner with cities, counties and water authorities across Central Texas,” said Travis Michel, PE, LAN public works lead in Central Texas. “His leadership in construction management and inspection allows us to provide on-the-ground support for our clients’ capital improvement programs and ensure delivery of their critical infrastructure reliably and efficiently.”

“Central Texas continues to show strong growth and continued investments in critical infrastructure, from water and wastewater systems to transportation and transit, and I look forward to partnering with our clients to deliver projects that serve their communities for decades to come,” May said.
