In 2016, the Sheldon Independent School District’s Board of Trustees selected LAN to provide comprehensive Program Management Services for a $285 Million bond. The services being rendered include the management of the design phase including design review, construction services procurement, construction administration, closeout, and warranty phase services. These services are in support of a new High School Campus which includes a New High School facility for a 3,000 student body, a new football stadium, which can hold up to 10,000 spectators; a new Elementary School for an 800 student body; the renovation of a mechanical system for an elementary; the conversion of the existing High School to a Junior High School; and various other bond approved projects.
LAN has been involved in the development and management of the bond program’s schedule and budget, creating measurable milestones, and cash-ﬂow requirements. LAN has also been instrumental in assisting in the acquisition of 365 acres of land; in understanding and communicating the District’s needs for a premier High School facility; in the selection, recommendation, and management of professional and construction services; in providing utility availability options, and in ensuring that the bond program is within the budget and on time.LAN is performing design review for multiple projects as part of the bond program, including trafﬁc lane changes, canopy additions, and Monahan Elementary School.
