William Darrell Chambers Joins LAN

(AUSTIN – February 16, 2015) William D. “Darrell” Chambers joins planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as senior design manager focused on the transportation market in Central Texas. In this role, Chambers is responsible for managing the design of LAN design-build projects in Texas.
“Darrell is an exceptional engineer and design-build project manager. His project experience and history in central Texas is a tremendous asset to LAN’s Austin office,” said LAN’s Austin transportation manager Susan Fraser. “With his addition, we are looking forward to further improving our service to our clients.”
Chambers has more than two decades of civil engineering experience across several disciplines including management of design-build projects, highway design, traffic control, storm water pollution and prevention measures, hydrology and hydraulics, utility coordination and the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates. He joins LAN from C2HM Hill, where he spent seven years in progressive roles, most recently as the service during construction engineer for the MoPac Improvement Project in Austin. He also spent 11 years performing roadway design at the Texas Department of Transportation.
Chambers received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas.
