Susan Fraser pursues civil engineering to impact communities today and for the future
Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) recently promoted Susan Fraser, P.E., CFM, from transportation manager in LAN’s Austin, Texas, office, to the position of team leader. She joined the firm just a little over a year ago and has already made a significant impact, helping the firm grow and thrive. Fraser’s path to become a civil engineer wasn’t a straight shot. She originally wanted to be an archeologist and then an anthropologist. After majoring in archeology/anthropology for two years and being inspired by uncovering the works of others, she realized she wanted to make a lasting contribution with her own works, and decided to become a civil engineer.
